Life isn't always easy. In fact, it most often is down right difficult. No matter our circumstances, God tells us to pick up our cross and follow Him. As I heard the latest prayer request from a friend, I could clearly sense she was burdened. One relative needed a kidney transplant in order to live, another was going through a very difficult divorce. We prayed together, both citing the scripture verse in Matthew 18:19, which confirms when two believers agree God says it shall be done.

Of course, we followed our prayer that all may be in accordance with God's will, and not our own.

I had an Uncle who prayed the sinners prayer when he thought he laid dying in the hospital after a serious heart attack. He survived and thrived only to forget God, and go back to a lifestyle filled with sin. Many years went by and once again he ended up having serious health problems , this time with cancer. And once again He prayed the sinners prayer.

In due time, and many medical treatments latter, he grew in faith through his trials and tribulations. This trying testing period had made him strong spiritually. He was always witnessing of God's unconditional mercy, grace, and love, to all who would listen. He died due to cancer a few years latter. But all who knew him had little doubt in their mind that he was saved and spending eternity in heaven with Jesus, our Holy Father.

Why does God heal some and not others? Because He is a sovereign God, in control, knowing the beginning and the end (Isaiah 55:9).

We trust God with our physical life, however, we know as Christian's He is more concerned with the spiritual condition of our soul. In faith, we pick up our cross no matter our circumstance for we know He is growing us up in Him. Full of grace and loving kindness, God gives us strength to fight our battles and face all our fears.

As we endure to the end, one day we will hear Him say, "Well done my good and faithful servant" - (Matthew 25:23).

A PRAYER OF PRAISE RECEIVING STRENGTH FROM THE LORD

Lord, Those who know you seek your face, and call out in praise, for you alone Lord are worthy.

I praise your Holy Name Father. All praise belongs to you.

You see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death, that I may declare your praises, and rejoice in your salvation.

You are known by your justice, let the nations be judged in your presence, let them know they are but men. The wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands, their deeds find them out, as your justice prevails.

Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out.

Though the enemy waits like a lion in cover to catch the helpless. The victim commits himself to you; for you are the helper of the fatherless.

You, Oh Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.

I trust in you Lord, for you are my stronghold in times of trouble. For you never forsake those who seek you. You Lord, are my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in you, and I am helped.

You alone are my rock and my fortress. You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place. I proclaim to the world, "Love the Lord, all His saints!

The Lord preserves the faithful, but the proud He pays back in full. Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. For we shall live to hear, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!'"

To God Be The Glory, Great Things He Has Done. All hail the power of Jesus name. For He is King of kings, and Lord of lords, and He alone is worthy of our praise!

The following is a prayer confirmed written by Bishop Lancelot Andrewes, 1555-1626, that radiates Glory and Honor to our Lord in accordance with Luke 2:14.

Jesus Christ, and His Holy word.

Glory be to thee, O Lord,

For that thou didst create not only the visible light, but the light invisible,

that which may be known of God, the law written in the heart;

give us a mind to perceive this light in

the oracles of prophets,

the melody of psalms,

the prudence of proverbs,

the experience of histories,

and the life and love of our Lord Jesus Christ, for his sake.
