God's Will Be Done, Even Unto Death

C.S. Lewis confirms in sentiment, "God whispers in our pleasure but shouts in our pain." Heartache, pain and sorrow, presents itself in many difficult life situations. Such was the case in the tragic, unexpected death of my young brother. Who died due to an industrial accident, caused by the greed and negligence of a company supervisor (www.synthiaesther.com website page Titled: "Died on the 4th of July").
My brother left behind a wife and four young children, whom he dearly loved. There were many tears shed concerning his passing. Did you know without our tears we could not see. For our tears serve a physical purpose, in that they cleanse and clean our eyes with renewed vision and clarity.
Such is true concerning our trials and tribulations in life. At the time of this writing, the world over is suffering under the oppression of a global pandemic, Covid 19. The death toll has been great in the United states of America, and is climbing in number once again, as a variant, Delta, has served to wreck havoc and destruction in the lives of many of our loved ones. Life and our present circumstances are not easy at this time, as social and economic woes have ensued.
Paul was in prison when he wrote the letter to the church he started in Philippians (Acts 16:11-40). Yet he rejoiced in the Lord and was content knowing what Christ meant to him. Paul gives wise counsel, filled with spiritual depth and insight, "...for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." - Philippians 4:11-13 .
Job went through many hardships, trials and tribulations yet he remained humble and committed his life to God stating:: " Though He slay me yet will I hope and trust in ..." (Job 13:15). All humanity has faced crisis, problems and situations that were stressful and uncertain. "It is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion's fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:22-23
One day God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes; and there will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for in heaven the former things are passed away. - Revelation 21:4
The solid foundational truth of mental and spiritual health is an attitude of gratitude. "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." - Ephesians 5:20
God transforms our lives in ways we simply cannot understand. For Both justice and judgment are the habitation of His throne. - Psalm 89:14 When we can't trace God's hand, we learn as His children, to trust His heart.
"But those who suffer He delivers in their suffering; He speaks to them in their affliction." - Job 36:15
As one approaches the subject of suffering within the Scriptures, they will find the complete 'Why' and 'Reason' for our suffering is in accordance with God's righteous hand of sovereignty . We rest our case in the character of God (Deut. 29:29; Isa. 55:8-9). In so much that all suffering takes place within His ordained, appointed boundaries. This does not mean that we are not to pursue the subject, only that we are to bow to the truth which God has given us, being content with the explanations He has revealed within His word. Therefore, we trust in Him at all times, and pour out our heart before Him. - Psalms 62:8
Nor do we lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
